Overview
Green Canyon lies 85 km from Alanya: an emerald-coloured lake squeezed between steep cliffs. The tour takes place on that lake by boat — beyond the sound of the engine there is pine forest, rock walls and the occasional cave mouth appearing along the shore.
You are collected from your hotel around 08:00 in an air-conditioned coach. The boat trip covers two separate canyons: the first 3 kilometres long, the second 9. There is a swim stop along the route — the lake water is cool and surprisingly clear.
For those who want it there is fishing, and the tackle is included in the price. Lunch is served at the restaurant by the lake. Soft drinks are free on the boat but charged at the restaurant — worth knowing in advance. After the meal the canyon tour continues, and you are back at your hotel around 17:30.
