Overview
The Köprüçay River, cutting through the Taurus Mountains, is Turkey's best-loved rafting route. On this tour in Köprülü Canyon National Park you descend a roughly 12-kilometre course by raft, gliding over turquoise water between pine and eucalyptus forests.
Before the start our instructors hand out life jackets and helmets and run a short safety briefing covering paddling technique. Every raft is accompanied by an experienced guide, and in the calm sections you can hop in for a swim. You don't need to know how to swim — the life jacket keeps you afloat.
The rafting itself takes about 2 hours. Afterwards we stop for lunch by the river, then drive you back to your hotel along scenic mountain roads.
Families are welcome: children can join from age 4, and ages 0-3 go free.
