Overview

The Turkish bath is a cleansing ritual centuries old — and the best rest stop of an Alanya holiday between beach days and tours. The programme lasts about 3 hours and is scheduled to suit you: the hammam operates from 09:00 to 17:00, and your pick-up time is arranged around your booking.

The sequence is classic: first the sauna and steam room to warm the body, then the scrub on the heated marble stone — the hammam's signature stage, where dead skin is polished away. The foam massage follows, then an oil massage and a face mask. On the way out you are served water and tea; all of it included in the price.

Towels, a peştamal wrap and wooden slippers are provided — all you need to bring is a swimsuit. Optional manicure and pedicure services are available at extra cost. At the end of the programme you are driven back to your hotel.

Tip: book the hammam for the first days of your holiday — after the scrub, skin holds sunscreen and a tan far more evenly. If you are pregnant or have a serious health condition, ask us before joining.

How long does it take, and are the times flexible?

The programme takes about 3 hours and the hammam operates between 09:00 and 17:00. You choose a start time that suits you when booking, and your pick-up is planned around it.

Does the scrub hurt? It will be my first time

It does not hurt — it is a vigorous rub with a coarse mitt, and most guests say they are astonished at what lifts off the skin. If your skin is sensitive, tell the attendant and the pressure is eased. If you are sunburnt, skip the scrub that day.

Are men and women bathed separately?

In tourist hammams the main sections are mixed and entered in swimwear, so couples and families can join together. If you prefer a separate section or a female attendant, add it as a booking note and we will confirm availability.
