Overview
An Alanya jeep safari leaves the coast behind for the dirt tracks of the Taurus Mountains, combining nature with a look at village life. You are collected from your hotel around 09:00, meet the safari convoy and set off in open-top jeeps.
The first stop is a panoramic photo break, where your guide explains the route and safety. Next comes a mountain village: village life, a visit to the tent and the mosque, and games and animation under the tent. After that there is a half-hour swim stop at the Oba river.
Lunch is served by the Dim river (chicken or fish with rice and salad); you can cool off in the pool or in the cold river water. Throughout the day the convoy keeps up its famous water fights between jeeps — the part guests talk about most. You are back at your hotel around 16:00. Expect to get wet and dusty, and dress accordingly.

Do we really get wet?
Yes. The water fights are part of the tour — jeeps splash each other and villagers join in along the way. If you would rather stay dry, tell your guide at the start and a more sheltered seat at the front can be arranged.
Can children join?
Yes, it is family-friendly and children usually enjoy the water fights the most. Ages 0-3 travel free and 4-10 pay a reduced rate. For very small babies the bumpy dirt roads can be tiring.
Do we drive the jeeps ourselves?
No — experienced drivers handle the jeeps and you ride in the back. If you want to drive yourself, look at our ATV or buggy safari tours instead.
