Overview

The night safari is not simply an evening version of the day safari — it is a different programme altogether. Once the heat has passed, around 17:30, you set off in open-top jeeps on a route that runs from sunset into the night.

The first stop is a viewpoint on the slope of Alanya Castle, one of the best places to take in the town and the harbour. Then comes a two-hour boat tour — a swim stop, animation and entertainment all happen on board. On the way back there is a stop at the Alanya viewing terrace, where a torch and fireworks show takes place.

Dinner is served as an open buffet on the bank of the Dim river (chicken, pasta and salad; drinks are extra), accompanied by oriental dance and animation shows. You are back at your hotel around 22:00.

If you want the village visit, water fights and a full day in the Taurus Mountains, our daytime Jeep Safari is the better fit.

How does it differ from the daytime jeep safari?

The daytime tour is a full day in the Taurus Mountains with a village visit, water fights and river stops. The night tour stays around the town: castle views, a boat tour, a fireworks show and a dinner show by the Dim river. The two do not overlap.

Is the boat part safe after dark?

The boat tour starts in the early evening while it is still light, and the swim stop falls in that part. Darkness comes mainly during the fireworks show and dinner.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes, it is a family programme. The fireworks and the on-board animation are usually the children's favourite parts. With a return around 22:00 it is the most family-friendly of our night tours.
