If you are after something different from the sea cruises, the Manavgat Boat Tour is exactly that: here the boat travels not on choppy sea but on the calm, green-banked waters of the Manavgat river — our gentlest boat day, with no seasickness to worry about.
You are collected around 08:00 (Manavgat is 60 km from Alanya). From the river harbour the boat sets off on a trip of about three hours; where the river meets the sea, a stop lets you swim in fresh water and salt water alike. Lunch is served on board (drinks are extra).
After the boat you visit the Manavgat Waterfall — the entrance fee is included. The last part of the day belongs to the Manavgat Grand Bazaar: an hour and a half of free time among local produce, handmade souvenirs and fresh fruit and vegetables. A short mosque visit is also part of the programme. You are at your hotel around 18:00.

Because the boat runs on the river there is almost no rolling — the most comfortable option for anyone prone to seasickness. Instead of caves and beaches, the route is built around green riverbanks, the waterfall and the bazaar; there is no foam party or animation.

Yes — at the Manavgat Grand Bazaar haggling is part of everyday life, especially for textiles and souvenirs. Food and spice prices are usually fixed. Carrying cash makes things easier.
Is the river water cold?
The Manavgat is spring-fed, so it is noticeably cooler than the sea — pure refreshment in the summer heat. Since the same stop lets you step into the sea a few metres away, comparing the two waters is one of the fun parts of the day.
