Overview

Once you have come all the way to the Köprülü Canyon area, you do not have to pick just one experience. This combo shows the same canyon from two angles: in the morning you look down at the river from Tazı Canyon's cliff of more than 400 metres, and in the afternoon you raft down that same river.

You are collected around 08:00 in an air-conditioned coach (the area is about 130 km from Alanya). At Köprülü Canyon you switch to cabrio vehicles; the route passes the old Roman bridge with Taurus views, and a photo stop is made at the Taurus Panorama. Then you have free time at Tazı Canyon itself.

The second half of the day belongs to the rafting base: the guide gives a briefing, gear is handed out and the 14-kilometre course begins (8 km first, then 6). Between the two sections there is a riverside lunch break (included). In the evening you return to Alanya.

How does it differ from the single Tazı Canyon tour?

The single tour adds Selge ancient city and the rock figures to the viewpoint, and runs three days a week. This combo swaps the ancient sites for an afternoon of 14 km rafting, and departs daily.

Do I need rafting experience?

No. Every raft carries a professional guide, a briefing is given beforehand and life jackets are mandatory. Non-swimmers can join too — just tell your guide at the start.

Is the day very long? When do we get back?

Yes, it is a full day: 08:00 out, back around 19:00. The area is far, so travel adds up to about five hours — that is the price of packing two activities into one transfer. We suggest keeping the next day light.
